How we know this

Every published fact carries a citation, the date the source asserts, and the date we last checked it. Pages that cannot meet that bar are not indexed.

Sources

Ownership edges come from SEC Exhibit 21 subsidiary lists and curated public disclosures. Corporate facts (founder, CEO, headquarters, store count, operating status, country of origin) attach when a filing extract, issuer page, or curated source names them.

Status evidence is drawn from classified 8-K items and industry RSS. Weekly reports synthesise news, filings, and market data. Promotional observations, when cited, come from public sale pages or disclosed emails.

Freshness

Ownership and facts are rechecked on a weekly Monday run. Operating-status evidence older than 365 days is dropped. A page that loses its citation or its rendered facts is demoted from the sitemap.

Publication bar

Brand hubs need an eligible ownership edge, a citation, and at least one rendered fact. Status pages need a fresh operating-status fact and at least one dated evidence row. Questions pages need four grounded answers. Timelines need three dated, cited signals. Ownership changes appear on the signals feed only when the parent actually changed and neither side is a continuum placeholder.

Failing the bar means the URL 404s or is served with noindex. We do not pad thin pages with prose to clear a word count.

Corrections

If a fact is wrong, write to hello@xynenyx.com with the brand, the claim, and a better source. We will re-verify against the citation rules above.

Limits

We cover fashion and beauty brands we can attribute with a public citation. Private companies with no Exhibit 21 and no curated disclosure stay out. Ethics certifications, coupon codes, and shopping alternatives are out of scope. This is not investment advice.

Live counts and pipeline freshness are on Coverage.
